2023 PGA championship spectator guide

minute read

From May 15 to 21, Oak Hill Country Club welcomes the 2023 PGA Championship®. It's certainly a premier event for the PGA of America (Professional Golfers' Association of America).

Oak Hill Country Club is known for a complementary pair of 18-hole courses. The East Course is not only more difficult but also among the toughest in the United States. That's likely why it has been used for all 4 PGA Championships that Oak Hill Country Club has hosted. Past winners of the PGA Championship include the legendary Jack Nicklaus, as well as Jason Dufner, who holds the Oak Hill Country Club course record of 63.

As a spectator of the PGA Championship, there's plenty to learn that can enhance your experience. We'll cover important points to help you follow along with the action like a real pro.

As a Championship+ ticketholder, you can visit concession venues as many times as you want. At each visit, you can redeem two entrée items, two snack items and two non-alcoholic beverages.

    What is my AXS account?

AXS is serving as the PGA Ticket Registry for the 2023 PGA Championship. An AXS account is required to purchase and manage event tickets. You'll need to sign up for an AXS account or sign in to an existing one to complete a PGA Championship ticket purchase.

After purchasing tickets, you can access your tickets by signing in to your AXS account. AXS will communicate the options to print your tickets or download digital versions you can add to your smartphone, so you're ready when it comes time to attend the event.

For more information about the PGA Ticket Registry AXS, check the PGA Championship How it Works Guide.

Is there a policy for juniors?

Up to four juniors aged 17 and under can accompany a ticketed adult onto the PGA Championship grounds for free. On the day of admission, junior tickets can be picked up at the admissions office near the main entrance. How and when will I receive my PGA Championship tickets?

After you've purchased tickets, they'll be delivered digitally beginning in April 2023. For additional information, review the notification that your tickets are available.

Is there a dress code at the PGA Championship?

Like most public places, shirts, shoes and pants will be required to enter the PGA Championship. Generally speaking, spectators wear modest and sensible attire. Fashion may be important to you, but overall, plain hats, shirts and pants or shorts can be safe, respectful items to wear.

Just as important as style, however, is being comfortable. Shoes are key, as you may be going through lots of grass, sand and sometimes mud. Depending on the weather, a hat and sunglasses may be vital to your comfort level, too.

Can I share my ticket with my friends or family?

No, ticketholders cannot share a ticket with another person. When ticketholders arrive at the gate, each ticket can be scanned only once for admission.

If you buy several tickets for a group of people, you'll be able to send mobile tickets to others after the tickets are delivered.

    Will there be parking available?

Rideshare and parking options will be available at the 2023 PGA Championship. Plans evolve as the event gets closer, but if you plan on attending in person, rest assured. Specific parking information will be shared with ticketholders as it becomes available.

Food and beverage options on site

There will be many concession venues around the site of the 2023 PGA Championship. Concession menus may list vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, while other options may be available upon request.

A Championship+ ticket will give ticketholders an inclusive experience with value, convenience and flexibility. This ticket includes food and non-alcoholic beverages at all the concession venues on the golf course.

Championship+ ticketholders can redeem two of each of the following at each concession venue visit:

    • Entrée items
    • Snack items
    • Non-alcoholic beverage items
