Do Chase Ink Business Cards earn cash back or points?

Chase Ink business credit cards allow business owners to choose an option that best meets their needs. Each Ink card allows cardmembers to earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points; these points can be redeemed for cash back, travel benefits, statement credits, or Amazon or PayPal credits.

Here is the lineup of Ink cards:

Accelerated earning categories for each Ink card

Each Chase Ink card features different categories where cardmembers may earn points at an accelerated rate. Here's a breakdown for each card:

    Chase Ink Business Preferred categories

The Ink Business Preferred card may be ideal for businesses who regularly spend money on both typical office expenses and travel thanks to its reward categories.

Ink Preferred cardmembers can earn 3X points per dollar spent on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories for each account anniversary year:

    • Shipping purchases
    • Advertising purchases made with social media and search engines
    • Internet, cable and phone services
    • Travel

    Chase Ink Business Cash categories

The Ink Business Cash card may be a good option for business owners who want to optimize cash back in applicable office categories. Cardmembers can earn 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent on combined eligible purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year.

Additional earning categories for the Business Cash card include:

    • 10% Business Relationship Bonus for cardmembers who have a Business Checking Account (on the card’s one-year anniversary)
    • 2% cash back on the first $25,000 (in combined purchases each account anniversary year) at gas stations and restaurants
    • 1% cash back on all other eligible purchases

    Chase Ink Business Unlimited categories

The Ink Business Unlimited card keeps things simple, so you won’t need to think about which categories provide bonuses — there’s an unlimited 1.5% cash back for every purchase. You’ll also get 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2025.

    Chase Ink Business Premier categories

The Ink Business Premier card provides 2% cash back on all eligible purchases. Rewards categories include:

    • 2.5% cash back on every purchase of $5,000 or more
    • 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards
    • 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2025

    Chase Ink welcome bonuses

Each Ink business credit card also offers a welcome bonus that allows cardmembers to earn additional points or cash back if they spend a certain amount of eligible purchases during a set period of time.

Review each card’s welcome offer, in addition to their rewards categories, to see if it aligns with your typical business spending.

    How to redeem rewards

The suite of Ink business cards may provide business owners with a seamless way to accumulate and spend rewards points via Chase Ultimate Rewards. Cardmembers can redeem credit card rewards in the following ways:

    • Cash back: Log into your Chase account and navigate to the rewards section to view your points balance. The cash back option allows you to redeem $1 per 100 points. Cash back may come in the form of a statement credit, a check or deposit, online or travel purchase or gift card.
    • Travel: This is a great option for those who travel often for business because points are worth 25% more when you book your travel through the Chase Travel portal (meaning 20,000 points are worth $250 instead of $200).
    • Pay Yourself Back® program: This option allows you to convert points into a statement credit towards a recent eligible purchase (purchases must be made within the last 90 days). Categories are subject to change, but may include gas stations, grocery stores, select charities and membership fees.
    • Amazon and PayPal shopping: You can use points to pay for purchases on Amazon.com or when they pay for purchases with PayPal. You can also use points to pay for your monthly or annual Amazon Prime subscription (terms and conditions apply).

Have another Chase credit card outside your business card? You can combine rewards from eligible cards within the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.

    In summary

Business credit cards offer a variety of flexible ways to earn points to reinvest in your business. And with Ink credit cards, you can choose the option with rewards and bonus categories that suit your business best.
