Everything You Need to Know About Earning Hotel Loyalty Rewards With Chase Travel

Chase Travel

What’s even better than earning Chase Ultimate Rewards® points on hotel stays booked through Chase Travel? Earning hotel loyalty points at the same time.
How to Earn Hotel Loyalty Points With Chase Travel
If you’re a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve cardmember, you know you get 5x or 8x Chase Ultimate Rewards points when you book hotels through Chase Travel. But if you belong to the loyalty program of select hotels and you book through Chase Travel you’re also eligible to access rewards and earn your loyalty points.
To identify a qualifying property, simply look for the “Hotel Loyalty Program Eligible” or rewards program banner in your Chase Travel search results. Just make sure to add your hotel loyalty number to your Trip Profile, or add it during the booking process.
If you have elite status you’ll also be eligible to receive your benefits and rewards during your stay. Even Points Boost bookings—and all points redemptions—are eligible to earn hotel loyalty points.
Which Hotels Qualify?
Eligible properties from major brands around the world qualify to provide hotel loyalty program benefits when booked through Chase Travel—and the number of eligible properties continues to grow.
These include:
- IHG® Hotels and Resorts: This includes brands like InterContinental, Regent, Kimpton and more
- Montage Hotels & Resorts
- Pendry Hotels & Resorts
- Omni Hotels & Resorts
- Virgin Hotels
- Minor Hotel Group: This includes the NH Collection and Anantara brands
- Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts
For example, if you use your Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve card to book Miami’s Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel by IHG through Chase Travel and you’re an IHG® Platinum Elite member (which is complimentary for Sapphire Reserve cardmembers) you’ll earn both Chase Ultimate Rewards points and IHG One Rewards points. Plus, as part of your Platinum Elite benefits, you could enjoy early check-in and late 2 p.m. checkout, subject to availability; a welcome amenity; and an upgrade, if available.
Just look for the “IHG One Rewards Eligible” banner and make sure to add your hotel loyalty number at checkout.

While all Chase Sapphire cardmembers can earn hotel loyalty points when booking an eligible hotel through Chase Travel, Reserve cardmembers also have access to The Edit, a collection of hand-picked hotels and resorts where they can unlock even more rewards.
Reserve cardmembers can earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points and hotel loyalty benefits for most hotels in The Edit that also belong to a brand with its own loyalty program. So, those Accor properties that are in The Edit (such as the Banyan Tree Samui and Raffles London at The OWO) can earn Reserve cardmembers Accor Live Limitless points with each booking. That’s in addition to any Accor elite benefits and all the premium perks included with each booking through The Edit (daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit and more).
Additional Hotel Loyalty Perks for Sapphire Reserve Cardmembers
Earning hotel loyalty points makes booking through Chase Travel even more valuable. Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers, for example, already get complimentary IHG® Platinum Elite status with their cards, and can enjoy the benefits of that program when booking IHG hotels through Chase Travel or The Edit by Chase Travel.
Plus, with a stay of at least two nights between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2026, Reserve cardmembers will receive up to $250 in statement credits on prepaid Chase Travel hotel bookings, and at hotel loyalty-eligible hotels those stays are still eligible for hotel loyalty points and benefits. Cardmembers will also earn Ultimate Rewards points on any portion not covered by statement credits.
