When cardmembers use their Sapphire Preferred credit card to book with Vacasa, they earn 3 points for every dollar spent. For example, if a Vacasa rental costs $2,000 for the duration of a stay, the cardmember will earn 6,000 points. This is higher than the standard 2x points on travel earn rate.

Which Vacasa purchases earn 3x points?

Vacasa vacation home rentals earn 3x points when booked with a Sapphire Preferred credit card. With a focus on professionally managed properties, Vacasa offers a range of rental homes that qualify. Vacasa listings include everything from ski-in/ski-out mountain condos to spacious coastal homes (listings and availability may vary).

When looking for properties on the site, you can search by date, location and number of guests. You can then filter results by additional categories including the type of property, number of bathrooms and bedrooms and amenities. When clicking on a listing, you can find photos, a description of the property, its location and the price of the rental, including applicable fees.

Do all Vacasa vacation rental purchases earn 3x points?

Vacasa vacation home rentals earn 3x points when booked with a Sapphire Preferred credit card. However, additional fees tied to a vacation rental that are charged separately from the rental booking may not qualify.

For example, if the home you’re renting offers early check-in, pet fees or equipment rentals for an extra fee, the way that fee is charged determines how you earn points. If the extra fee is included with the total rental amount, it will likely earn 3x points. If the charge for the amenity or service is paid outside of the vacation rental site, it may not.

Because rental terms and conditions can vary by property, you may want to confirm their individual guidelines to determine how your rental and any additional bookings or fees are handled.

Earning points on travel purchases with Sapphire Preferred
