Navigating to and from LAX Airport
There are multiple options to travel to and from LAX:
- Taxi or rideshare: Walk or take the free shuttle outside baggage claim to the taxi and rideshare area, LAX-it (pronounced LA Exit).
- Bus: The LAX FlyAway bus service connects all terminals with Van Nuys, Union Station, Westwood, Santa Monica and Hollywood. Bus pickup is outside each terminal on the Lower/Arrivals level islands. Additional bus services run from the LAX City Bus Center near Parking Lot C (passengers may take a shuttle bus here from any terminal).
- Hotel shuttle: Find the “Hotel and Courtesy Shuttle” sign outside each terminal. There are frequent free shuttles to nearby hotels.
- Car rental: Locate the purple “Rental Car Shuttle” sign on the Lower/Arrivals level islands after baggage claim to travel to the rental offices.
Parking at LAX Airport
There are seven parking lots at LAX, most of which are connected to terminals via footbridges. Economy Parking Lot C, the farthest lot, is connected to terminals via a free shuttle bus that runs every 10-15 minutes.

How much time do you need to get through LAX airport?
Generally, airport officials recommend that travelers arrive at the airport two hours before their flight departs. Keep in mind that security may take longer during peak hours and holidays, or for international flights.

Terminals at LAX Airport
There are nine terminals at LAX: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B). The two primary ways to navigate between terminals post-security are via courtesy airport shuttle services or the pedestrian walking path.

Priority Pass lounges at LAX
As of May 2025, there is one lounge in the Priority Pass network at LAX: the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Note that an additional fee applies to access this location.
The lounge can be found airside in the international terminal after the TSA checkpoint in the main atrium. Take the elevator to the sixth floor to enter. Some amenities include a shower facility, refreshments, acoustically sealed work spaces, a cinema and more.
In addition to one visit allocation, Priority Pass members must pay an additional fee to enter. Access is permitted 3 hours prior to scheduled light departure. Children under 2 years old are admitted for free.
