Navigating to and from HPN
HPN is located at 240 Airport Rd. in West Harrison, NY and not far from major interstate highways I-684 and I-287. It’s roughly five miles east of White Plains, NY.Â
Available ground transportation options to get you to and from HPN include:
- Rental cars: The rental car counters at HPN are in the arrivals hall of the main terminal. Travelers can drop off and pick up rental cars in the lots next to the main terminal.Â

- Public transit: Bee-Line bus route 12 provides daily service between the airport and the TransCenter in downtown White Plains. Route 12 also connects the airport with Purchase College and Manhattanville College. The bus stop at the airport is located on the island in front of the main terminal.
Curb space in front of the main terminal is limited, so unless picking up or dropping off passengers, cars are discouraged from idling in front of the terminal.
Parking at HPN
There is one long-term parking lot just under a mile north of the terminal building on the airport access road. With the flow of traffic, drivers will approach the lot before the terminal.Â

HPN airport has one terminal with three levels and a half dozen gates. The terminal is open 24/7. There are also private jet operators and terminals on the airport grounds, but they are separate from the main terminal.
Security at HPN
There is one security checkpoint at HPN that includes TSA PreCheck® screening. The availability of TSA PreCheck lanes varies depending on the time of day. If they are not available, passengers may be allowed to use expedited screening in the regular lanes. There is also a TSA Enrollment Center at HPN.
Airport guidance recommends arriving 2 hours ahead of your scheduled departure time. During busier travel times, travelers may want to allow more time for security screening.Â
Getting through airport security faster

TSA PreCheck® allows members to use designated lanes at airport security checkpoints. Passengers in those lanes typically do not need to remove light jackets, shoes, belts or jewelry during screening.
