Lyft is a ride-sharing platform and app that allows users to request private rides that can include budget-friendly options, priority pick-up and cars with extra seats. When conducting business, Lyft may come in handy if you’re traveling to and from the airport or need to get to a meeting or client across town.

Read on to learn how Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business cardmembers can earn rewards points and use credits when using their card to pay for Lyft purchases.

Earning 5x points on Lyft rides

The Sapphire Reserve for Business card earns 1 point on most purchases. However, cardmembers can earn 5x points on qualifying Lyft services through September 30, 2027. This includes rideshare services, bike rentals, scooter rides and subscription and membership products purchased through the Lyft mobile app. The credit may not apply to all Lyft charges or services; for example, fees, taxes, tip and gift card purchases are excluded.

Cardmembers must pay for Lyft with their Sapphire Reserve for Business card to earn 5x points. Additional employees on the same Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business credit account can also earn 5x points on Lyft purchases.

Lyft credits with Sapphire Reserve for Business card

In addition to earning points at an accelerated rate, cardmembers can get a $10 monthly in-app credit on Lyft rides through September 30, 2027.

Lyft credits can be used on Standard, Extra Comfort, XL, Black or Black SUV Lyft rides. For rides in personal mode, the credit will be automatically applied on eligible rides with the option to remove. For rides booked by a Lyft Business Profile, users have the option to apply the credit; it will not be automatically applied.

If you have employee credit cards on the account, they can also use the $10 credit. If multiple Lyft riders use the same card, only the first cardmember to add the card to their Lyft account will receive the $10 credit. Any unused credit will expire at the end of the month.
