What is the Reserve for Business card’s credit for stays with The Edit?
Sapphire Reserve for Business primary cardmembers can receive a $500 annual credit for stays with The Edit. The Edit is a curated collection of hotels and resorts on Chase’s in-house travel booking platform, Chase Travel. Cardmembers must make an eligible booking using their Sapphire Reserve for Business card through The Edit by Chase Travel for the credit to apply.
Within Chase Travel, cardmembers can filter for eligible hotels. Note that purchases qualifying for the credit will not earn points.
While the Sapphire Reserve for Business comes with an annual fee, you may find that the $500 credit and additional rewards and benefits offer greater value than the cost of the fee.
How the $500 The Edit credit works
To qualify for the credit, cardmembers must book a hotel stay of 2 nights or more at participating The Edit properties. The credit only applies to prepaid bookings through Chase Travel, not to bookings made elsewhere or paid at the property.
The $500 annual credit is divided into two periods:
- Up to $250 in statement credits from January 1 to June 30
- Up to $250 in statement credits from July 1 to December 31
Let’s say you book a 2-night stay at an Aspen ski resort in February, and you prepay the $800 cost using your Sapphire Reserve card through Chase Travel. Then you book a 3-night stay in August at a Sedona hotel and spa and use the same payment method to pay the $1,200 Chase Travel booking. Both properties participate in The Edit collection. You’d receive $250 for the February booking and another $250 for the August booking.
Cardmembers are reimbursed via statement credits (money credited to the account), which are applied after eligible purchases. The credit may appear on the credit card statement within a few days, but could take up to 6 to 8 weeks (1-2 billing cycles).
Cardmembers can track their credit usage for a calendar year by logging into their Chase account and viewing their card benefits.
Note that employee cardmembers are not eligible for the credit.
