Navigating to and from Phoenix Airport
There are several ways to head to and from the airport, including multiple public transit options:
- Taxi: Taxi queues are located outside of both terminals. Passengers may be able to get a flat rate if they are headed to downtown Phoenix.
- Rideshare: App-based rideshare pickup locations can be found outside of either terminal and the Rental Car Center.
- Bus: Both the Valley Metro Bus Route 13 and Route 44 lines pick up passengers at the 44th Street PHX Sky Train station.
- Light rail: The 44th Street PHX Sky Train station also serves as a connection to the Valley Metro Rail, which provides access to Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa.
- Rental car: The 24/7/365 rental car shuttle picks up passengers on the baggage claim level of both terminals. The Rental Car Center is just a few minutes away by shuttle.

There are a variety of long and short-term parking options at PHX. Travelers may also opt for valet service and car wash add-ons. Lastly, drivers picking up passengers may wait in one of the three complimentary cell phone lots.

How early to arrive at Phoenix Airport
Not sure when to arrive at the airport? Most airport officials recommend arriving two hours prior to the departure time for domestic flights and three hours prior for international flights.

Terminals 1 and 2 are no longer operating at PHX, so the remaining two Terminals are 3 and 4. Terminal 3 is primarily used for domestic flights, while Terminal 4 is primarily used for international flights.
Travelers will need to use the PHX Sky Train to travel between terminals. It also takes passengers to the 44th Street Light Rail station and East Economy Parking Lot.

Are there Priority Pass lounges at Phoenix Airport?
Yes, there is one lounge at the Phoenix Airport that in the Priority Pass™ network: the Escape Lounge. It’s in Terminal 3, between gates E and F. There is a three hour maximum stay and children under two are admitted for free. Note that food and beverage service stops 30 minutes prior to closing time.
