Lollapalooza 2025 dates, times and ticketing info

Lollapalooza 2025 begins on Thursday, July 31, and ends Sunday, August 3. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. daily and the festival ends around 10:00 p.m. CT each night following the closure of the headline acts.

There are a variety of ticket options for Lollapalooza 2025—from one-day, general admission passes to a full, four-day VIP experience. General Admission provides access to the entire grounds for one or more days whereas the VIP experience may include private bars, upgraded and air-conditioned restrooms and a dedicated entrance to the festival, among other perks. Note that most ticket options for 2025 are sold out and may only be available via waitlist.

All concertgoers will receive a wristband that should be activated before entry into Lollapalooza. Wristbands can also be linked to various payment apps for a cashless concert experience.

The Sapphire Reserve Experience at Lollapalooza 2025

The onsite Sapphire Reserve Experience at Lollapalooza will showcase premium views of the main stage, gourmet bites and beverages. There will also be a select number of daily giveaways. When Reserve cardmembers enter the experience, they’ll be greeted with a complimentary drink and will have access to comfortable seating and private restrooms.

This year, the Sapphire Reserve Experience at Lollapalooza will offer limited reservations for guaranteed entry on Chase Ultimate Rewards^®. The Experience will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. If you’re not able to book a reservation, a limited number of cardmembers with one guest will be let in daily, but please note entry is not guaranteed without a reservation and space is extremely limited.

In addition to the onsite experience, Reserve cardmembers will have access to an afternoon with a celebrity guest and access one-of-a-kind perks. Limited tickets to this experience, as well as VIP Lollapalooza tickets, were released July 3 at noon CT so check for availability.

What to bring to Lollapalooza 2025

Some of the typical essentials for a music festival will be useful at Lollapalooza too. Here’s what you may want to consider bringing before showing up at the front gates:

• Your ticket: There’s no sense going to Lollapalooza without your ticket, which is actually a wristband. If you’re attending multiple days without a 4-Day pass, try not to mix up your wristbands. Each single day pass requires a separate wristband.
• Bag: This becomes more essential the more merch and souvenirs you plan to purchase. A hands-free music festival experience is never overrated. See Lollapalooza’s bag policy here.
• Appropriate clothing: Check the weather and dress accordingly. Rain or shine, inappropriate attire could ruin your day.
• Money: There will be food, drinks, merch and more to buy at Lollapalooza. Lollapalooza is cashless, so Sapphire Reserve cardmembers may want to remember to bring their Reserve card or add it to a payment app connected to their wristband.
• Ear plugs: High volume is one of Lollapalooza’s claims to fame. Even outside, ear plugs might make the booming sounds more enjoyable. Guest Services may have ear plugs for free or for purchase if you forget yours.
• Empty water bottle: Lollapalooza is in the thick of summer. If the sunshine and heat typical of the season show up, hydration will be key. Attendees are allowed to bring in an empty bottle and are free to fill it throughout the day at one of the complimentary filtered water stations.

Getting to Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza takes place in the heart of downtown Chicago, in Grant Park. You can get close to Grant Park by using the Chicago Transit Authority which operates bus lines and rail service. There are also electric scooters and bikes available for rent throughout the city.

If coming from outside the city of Chicago, you may want to consider using Metra rail service or Pace buses. You can plan your trip using the Regional Transportation Authority's trip planner. Parking is not available on the festival grounds, but nearby garages typically have space on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entrances

There are two main gates to get into Lollapalooza 2025:

• Main Entrance: Michigan and Ida B. Wells
• North Entrance: Monroe and Columbus

There are also designated entrances for VIP attendees.

For patrons with accessibility needs or certain tickets, keep an eye out for the signs above designated entrance lanes or ask a staff member to direct you.
