How to access Credit Journey

If you already have a Chase account:
- Sign in to your account at chase.com or in our app.
- Scroll down on your account home page until you see the Credit Journey tile.
- Choose "See details" to enter your credit dashboard.
If you aren't a Chase customer: You can still enroll by visiting the Credit Journey page. You'll need to provide some personal information, including your SSN, to verify your identity. Once enrolled, you can sign in anytime to see your updated information.
Chase Credit Journey features
Once you sign in, your dashboard serves as a "home base" for your credit information. In this section, you can find your credit score and explore tools designed to help you get a clear picture of your credit profile.
Credit Journey uses the VantageScore® 3.0 model and pulls information from Experian, Equifax®, and TransUnion® to keep you informed.
- Credit report: You can access your full credit report to check for accuracy. A credit report is a detailed record of your credit history, including your open accounts and payment history.
- Score improvement feature: This score improvement tool helps you create a goal and follow a personalized action plan provided by Experian. The tool shows how different actions might help raise your score over three to 12 months.
- Credit score simulator: You can use this feature to demonstrate how changes, like opening a new credit card or paying off debt, could potentially affect your score.
- Identity monitoring services: Get notified if your personal info is found on the dark web or in a data breach with identity monitoring.
Where to track your credit score over time
Your credit score isn't a static number and may fluctuate depending on your financial habits. Credit Journey is designed to help you stay informed of these changes by archiving your history and providing visual aids that show your performance.
- Score history graph: Your dashboard features a visual timeline that shows your score’s movement over the last several months.
- See what’s changed: Click on “See what’s changed” for a detailed review of recent factors—like a new hard credit check or balance shift—that have influenced your score.
- Weekly updates: Your Experian-based score is updated at least once a week, helping you access current information.
Checking your score through this service is a soft credit check, which typically doesn't impact your score. Hard credit checks, which often happen when you apply for a new loan or credit card, may affect your score.
Additional tools for financial wellness
Credit Journey offers features beyond basic credit score information:
- Credit monitoring alerts: You can opt in for notification emails, texts, or push alerts whenever major changes happen on your credit report, provided by Experian. Note that delivery of alerts may be delayed for various reasons including technology failures and capacity limitations.
- Educational resources: The "Credit Insider" library includes videos and articles you can explore to learn more about credit management and protection.
- Dispute assistance: If an error turns up on your credit report, you’ll find resources to help guide you through the process of disputing discrepancies.
