When your friend applies for a Chase credit card using your URL and their application is approved, both you and your friend receive the promotional rewards active at that time. These rewards can vary depending on the current offer available upon approval.

How the Chase Refer-A-Friend promotion works

Learn how the Chase Refer-A-Friend promotion works below: 

1. Share the unique URL with your friend

Visit Chase’s Refer-A-Friend login page and enter your information. You’ll then be able to click the “Copy Link” and share the unique URL with your friend, which they must use when applying. You may also provide the unique URL by logging into the Chase Mobile® app and selecting your card and scrolling down to “Refer-A-Friend” on the screen.

2. The friend must use the unique URL to apply

If your friend does not use the unique URL you will not receive credit for the referral.

3. Once your friend applies using your unique URL and is approved, you will earn bonus points

Allow up to eight weeks after account approval for the bonus points to be posted in your account. Your friend is eligible for the new cardmember offer in market at the time of the approval after completing qualifying activities. 

Note on Cap Potential: As a Chase customer, you can refer as many friends as you would like. However, if 10 or more of your friends use the referral URL  within a month to apply, at Chase’s discretion you (the Chase customer) may not receive any bonus points for the friends you referred that month  who are approved for the card.

Note: There is a cap on Refer-A-Friend bonuses that can be earned each year.

How do I refer my friends through my personalized link?

After you have logged in and entered your information, click the “Copy” button and share your unique URL with friends. Your friends must apply via the link you provide them. If the link is mis-copied in any way, you will not receive credit for the referral. By sending the link via text message, you confirm that you have consent to send a text message to each recipient.

Can I refer my friends via the Chase Mobile App?

Yes. After you log on to the app, scroll to find your Chase card and tap the card. Next, scroll down and tap “Refer friends” on the screen. Finally, you can share your personalized URL with friends for them to apply.

How many friends can I refer?

You can invite as many friends as you want during the referral period. You can receive rewards for each friend who is approved by the offer deadline. There is a maximum reward cap for each of our “Refer-A-Friend” offers per calendar year. That cap will be shown on the offer page that you are directed to after successfully inputting your name, zip code and the last 4 digits of your card.

If my friend applies another way, will I receive credit for the invitation?

No. Your friend must apply through the personalized link in order for you to receive credit. By sending the link via text message, you confirm that you have consent to send a text message to each recipient. 

Will Chase tell me when my friends apply for the card?

Due to the confidential nature of the credit approval process, we cannot disclose information on who has applied, nor will you be notified whether we approve or decline any applications from the friends you invite.

How much can I earn through this promotion?

There is a maximum rewards cap for each of our “Refer-A-Friend” offers. The cap will be shown on the offer page you will be directed to after putting your name, zip code, and last 4  digits of your card on this page. You can earn rewards up to the stated cap for each product’s offer.

When will I receive my rewards?

Please allow up to 8 weeks after each new cardmember’s account approval for the bonus points to be posted in your account.

How will I know that I’ve received my rewards?

Your bonus points will appear on your statement. It will be listed as “Refer-A-Friend” bonus.
