Every year, travelers from around the world come to India to observe and participate in the holiday, with Jaipur among the most festive destinations.
Experience the Pink City’s vibrancy and history when you book Sapphire Reserve’s Celebrate Holi: The Festival of Colors trip in Jaipur, India. Designed by Chase Travel and bookable at experiences.chase.com, this experience includes a four-night stay at the royal-worthy Rambagh Palace, a private tour of the Amrapali Museum, a spirited Holi celebration and more.
What’s Included in the Package
The trip includes a four-night stay at Rambagh Palace, a former royal residence near Jaipur’s Old City that is now known for its exceptional service and ornate interior design.
Your trip itinerary also comprises a packed lineup of activities: a private evening at City Palace, morning yoga, a tour of the flower market, a Bollywood dance performance, a tuk-tuk ride through Johri Bazaar and exclusive access to Chase Travel's Holi Celebration—to name a few. Transportation to and from all scheduled events is covered.
What You’ll Do
Your four-day itinerary begins with a private tour of Jantar Mantar, an observatory and UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 18th century. Next, you’ll take a short walk inside the City Palace, stopping for some shopping and a welcome drink along the way. Finally, before retiring to your royal room at Rambagh Palace, you’ll enjoy a private dinner at Chhavi Niwas, an exclusive room at City Palace, typically only used by the royal family.
Day two kicks off bright and early with breakfast in the hotel dining room, followed by an optional guided yoga session. Afterward, you’ll head out to witness morning rituals at a Hindu temple, and then you’ll stroll through Jaipur’s famous flower market. You’ll end your morning with a visit to Amer Palace, a fort complex with several buildings and courtyards that sits on a hill above the city. Lunch takes place at the Johri, an acclaimed vegetarian restaurant. Then, you’ll hop on a tuk-tuk and ride through the Johri Bazaar. After returning to the hotel to rest, you can visit the Chase Travel pop-up salon for a professional blowout; in-room sari draping and turban tying are also available. Primed and prepped, you’ll head off for dinner, cocktails and a Bollywood dance performance at the intricately designed Polo Palladio Jaipur restaurant.
Day three starts with a block printing demonstration, followed by a private tour of the jewelry and heritage pieces at the Amrapali Museum. After a farm-to-table lunch at Café White Sage, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a camel polo match and then to indulge in afternoon tea at Rambagh Palace. At night, you’ll celebrate Holika Dahan, a pre-Holi holiday honoring the triumph of good over evil and featuring large bonfires.
On day four, your last full day, you’ll spend your morning preparing for the Chase Travel Holi celebration, which takes place right at Rambagh Palace. After breakfast, you’ll head to the palace lawn, where you’ll enjoy throwing colored powder, listening to live music, dancing and sampling from a buffet of traditional sweets. For the rest of the afternoon, you’ll recharge poolside while enjoying lively music, and then you’ll spend the evening at your leisure.
Where You’ll Stay
When you’re not exploring Jaipur through your packed itinerary, you’ll spend your free time lounging in a cozy Palace room at Rambagh Palace.
Enjoy a four-night stay at Rambagh Palace, a sprawling estate that once served as the hunting lodge and royal guesthouse for the Maharaja (or king). The massive property is filled with ornate details, like large courtyards and manicured gardens and extravagantly designed rooms.
You’ll spend your stay in a Palace room, outfitted with a grand canopy bed, marble bathroom and garden or courtyard views. When you’re not luxuriating in the intricate details of your room, head out to one of the hotel’s four restaurants, including a lounge set inside a restored train car. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to step right into the bustle of Jaipur’s Old City when you’re ready to explore.
