Ink Business Premier Card benefits explained
The Ink Business Premier card offers benefits for cardmembers that range from cash back to fraud protection tools. Some notable card benefits include:
Cash back rewards
The Ink Business Premier card earns cash back rewards on purchases, but unlike other Ink business credit cards, its cash back rate is sometimes tied to the purchase amount.
The card earns 2% cash back on purchases. However, purchases of $5,000 or more earn 2.5% cash back. There is no limit to the amount of cash back a cardmember can earn.
In addition, purchases made through Chase Travel℠ earn 5% cash back. Chase Travel offers options for hotels, flights, cruises, rental cars, activities and more.
Rewards redemption
Cardmembers can redeem the rewards they earn in a number of ways. All Ink Business cards earn Chase Ultimate Rewards®. Ultimate Rewards can be redeemed for cash back, travel, gift cards and more.
When you redeem rewards for cash back, you can do so as a statement credit or have the amount you redeemed directly deposited to most U.S. checking and savings accounts.
There are no minimums to redeem your cash back rewards, and Chase Ultimate Rewards do not expire so long as your account is open and in good standing.
Travel protection benefits
Business owners who travel frequently may find some of the card’s travel perks appealing. The Ink Business Premier card offers some travel protection benefits and services, including:
- Auto Rental Coverage
- Travel and Emergency Assistance
- Roadside Assistance
You can refer to your card’s Guide to Benefits for a full explanation of travel protection benefits with the Ink Business Premier card.
Purchase Protection,
When you use your Ink Business Premier card, your purchases could be subject to additional protections provided by the card. The card offers:
- Purchase Protection that covers your eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft up to $10,000 per item.
- Extended Warranty Protection^ that extends the time period of the manufacturer’s U.S. warranty by an additional year, on eligible warranties of three years or less, up to four years from the date of purchase.
Additionally, the card provides Cell Phone Protection. Cardmembers can get up to $1,000 per claim in cell phone protection against covered theft or damage for cell phones listed on your monthly cell phone bill when you pay it with your eligible credit card (maximum of 3 claims in a 12-month period with a $100 deductible per claim).
Employee cards
Primary cardmembers may request employee cards with the Ink Business Premier card. The primary account member can set individual spending limits, which could help provide clarity on employee spending.
Employee cards earn rewards at the same rate as the primary card, but they may not offer the same protections and benefits available to the primary cardmember.
Fraud protection and alerts
The Ink Business Premier card may help cardmembers monitor and protect their business card account. Cardmembers can create personalized account alerts that can be sent as emails or text alerts.
The alerts can be tied to purchase amounts, transaction locations or other parameters determined by the cardmember. These real-time alerts may help business owners monitor transactions and respond as needed.
Card considerations
For those considering the Ink Business Premier card, take note that it has an annual fee. The Ink Business Premier card also is a pay-in-full card. This means cardmembers are expected to pay their card’s balance in full each month.
