The Global Entry application process in Miami
The first step in the Global Entry application process is to create a Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) account, submit an online application and pay the non-refundable fee. Some credit cards may reimburse Global Entry applicants for this fee.
Once an applicant gets conditional approval—an application status that indicates you’re on track to enroll in the program—the next step is to schedule an interview at an enrollment center.
Enrollment centers are the locations where applicants are interviewed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In Miami, applicants have several Global Entry enrollment centers to choose from, as well as a few options to help expedite their Global Entry application.

Walk-in interviews for Global Entry in Miami
Walk-in appointments are usually not accepted, but some applicants may be able to complete the application process through the Enrollment on Arrival program.
Enrollment on Arrival allows eligible applicants to complete their interview upon their arrival in the U.S. from an international flight. You may be eligible for Enrollment on Arrival if you:
- Have conditional approval on an online Global Entry application.
- Bring the required valid forms of ID or other documentation to the Global Entry interview.
- Arrive at an airport with a participating enrollment center during operating hours.
When clearing Customs, travelers can let a CBP officer know if they want a Global Entry interview. You may be able to complete the interview during the standard inspection process. Note that Enrollment on Arrival is subject to availability, and you are not guaranteed an interview.
As of January 2025, Enrollment on Arrival is available at Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport. Check the operating hours of the enrollment center to determine if they’ll be open during your arrival.
How to schedule a Global Entry interview in Miami
After conditional approval, applicants are instructed to schedule an interview through their TTP account. Every applicant must have a separate interview.
If appointment slots are limited at your preferred enrollment center, you can check back regularly for openings. New appointments may become available if someone cancels. Additionally, new TTP appointments in Miami are released at 9:00 a.m. local time on the first Monday of every month.
