    Miami Art Week is a jam-packed, multi-day event, so it can be overwhelming to know where to start. With over 20 art fairs and approximately 1,200 galleries throughout Miami, the event is one of the largest of its kind. That being said, you can still maximize your time to ensure you visit the exhibitions and galleries that appeal to you most. 

    While some events will doubtlessly attract more attention (and more celebrity wattage) than others, Miami Art Week offers something for everyone--from unique exhibitions to breakout artists to popup events that you'll be talking about long after the festival is over. In this guide, we’ll give you important details about some of the main events for this year’s Miami Art Week.

    Design Miami

    To check out collectible designs, ranging from furniture to lighting, you’ll want to visit Design Miami. This exhibit features eclectic works from all over the world. The event is open to the public from December 6th – 10th and is located at:

    Convention Center Drive and 19th Street,
    Miami Beach, FL 33139.  

    Art Miami

    Art Miami exhibits 20th and 21st century art in collaboration with other reputable galleries. To attend the VIP Preview, you can visit this exhibit on December 5th. The event will then open up to the public from December 6th – 10th and is located at:

    CONTEXT Art Miami

    CONTEXT gives creators and collectors the ability to network and in the case of artists, showcase their work on a new platform. In this special exhibit, you can view cutting-edge artwork by today’s talented and boundary-pushing artists. The VIP Preview opens on December 5th and the gallery opens its doors to the general public from December 6th – 10th. You can find the CONTEXT art exhibition at:

    Aqua Art Miami

    For a fun, inspiring exhibit put on by young artists, be sure to visit Aqua Art Miami. This gallery opens up into a courtyard just behind the South Beach hotel, so you’ll be sure to get some amazing views of art as well as the beach hotel. The VIP Preview begins December 6th, with general admission opening from December 7th – 10th. Not far from the other exhibits, Aqua Art Miami sits at:

    Miami River Art Fair

    Miami isn’t just about its beaches! For a break from the Miami Beach events, check out the Miami River Art Fair, a boutique fair exclusively located on a rooftop. This exhibit comes with stunning views of Miami, and features art in combination with artificial intelligence. VIP guests can attend starting December 6th, while all other guests are welcome to attend between December 7th – 8th. The fair is located at:

    NADA Art Fair

    NADA stands for the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), and you guessed it — this exhibit highlights new, emerging artists in the realm of contemporary art. To get a fresh perspective and discover new talent, be sure to check out the NADA Art Fair starting December 5th – 9th located at:

    Pinta Miami

    Pinta Miami features three main sections, including: Solo-Duo Projects, NEXT and the Main Section, each offering their own special flavors of art. If you’re a CIP, you can attend the previous December 6th, and public days run from December 7th – December 10th.You can find Pinta Miami at:

    Red Dot Miami

    This event includes art programs from Art Labs, Spotlight Galleries, Directors’ Picks and the Discoveries Collection. VIP guests can come to the opening night at Red Dot Miami on December 6th and general admission goes from December 7th – 10th. Check out red Dot Miami at:

    Satellite Art Fair

    For a chance to witness groundbreaking work, including performances and installations, come to the Satellite Art Fair. This exhibit bridges relationships between the press and public and offers an edgy, new vibe alongside the other exhibitions of Miami Art Week. The event takes place from December 5th – 9th at:

    Scope Miami Beach

    Scope is an immersive event with activities that take place throughout the day and into the evening. The exhibit itself features contemporary and international pieces and is open from December 5th –10th. Go see Scope for yourself at:

    Spectrum Miami

    With over 150 artists showcased at Spectrum Miami, you won’t get bored at this art show. Mediums of art include painting, photography as well as print works by up-and-coming artists as well as independent career artists and blue chip galleries. You can attend this exhibit from December 6th –10th at:

    UNTITLED Art, Miami Beach

    This inclusive, collaborative exhibit takes place December 6th – 10th and aims to draw in a wider net of art ecosystems. Explore contemporary art by both established and emerging artists at UNTITLED Art, located at:
