You Can Help Grant Travel Wishes for Kids Fighting Critical Illnesses—Here’s How

Whether you’re exploring a new city, reconnecting with yourself on a solo trip or spending time with loved ones, trips can unlock unforgettable experiences and forge new memories. That’s why Chase partnered with Make-A-Wish to help bring travel wishes to life for wish kids like Brynn Morrison.
According to Make-A-Wish, 80% of all wishes involve a form of travel, and travel support is essential in making those wishes a reality. Chase’s partnership with Make-A-Wish has helped fuel travel for wish kids and their families with Ultimate Rewards points donated by Chase.
For every wish granted, there are still two children with a critical illness whose wishes need community support. Eligible Chase cardmembers can also join in the mission to fuel travel wishes for kids in need—and redeem points for a statement credit towards the donation. To participate, visit Wish.org/Chase and fill out the donation form, including the amount of money to be donated and the frequency of the donation. After the donation has posted, visit the Ultimate Rewards portal, select the card you used to make the donation and choose Pay Yourself Back®. From there, you can select your donation to Make-A-Wish from a list of recent transactions and have Ultimate Rewards points applied to the value. Points used this way are worth 25 to 50% more in redemption value, depending on the card, meaning more opportunities to use points to make travel wishes a reality in the future.
“Our cardmembers are passionate about redeeming their rewards for things that are close to their hearts and values, including philanthropic support for charities like Make-A-Wish,” said Catherine Hogan, Chief Business Officer for Card and Connected Commerce at Chase.
All these points and dollars donated made it possible for 12-year-old Brynn to experience a trip of a lifetime to the wildlife-filled rainforests of Hawaii.
Brynn was diagnosed with a rare vascular disease and had to undergo brain surgery. Wishes like hers—to visit Hawaii with her family—can be game-changing. They bring a sense of joy and normalcy back into a family’s life.
Through the Chase and Make-A-Wish partnership, Chase coordinated the family’s flights—and added a few extra surprises: The trip began with a Hawaii-themed send-off at the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club with Etihad Airways at New York City’s JFK Airport, complete with decorations, specialty drinks and colorful leis.
Upon landing, Brynn was welcomed to the Aloha State with parrots—and her wish trip with her family was underway.
