Points Boost Explained: What You Need To Know to Make the Most of Your Points

Chase Travel

In June 2025, Chase Travel introduced Points Boost, allowing Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardmembers to maximize the value of their points when redeemed on thousands of top booked hotels and flights to destinations cardmembers love. Read on to learn more about how Points Boost works, and how you can use it to snag a room with an epic view or a great deal on a first-class flight.
What Is Points Boost?
Points Boost is an exclusive, dynamic selection of hotels, from downtown stays to beachfront resorts, and flights that can be booked by eligible Chase cardmembers for fewer points and for a limited time, only through Chase Travel. With Points Boost, your points are worth more and go further on select hotels and flights.
If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card and you use Points Boost, your points are worth 2x when you book a hotel that’s part of The Edit℠, and up to 2x when redeemed for both thousands of other top booked hotels and flights with select airlines through Chase Travel.
Chase Sapphire Preferred cardmembers will find similar deals: your points are worth up to 1.5x on thousands of both top booked hotels and flights with select airlines, and up to 1.75x on premium cabin tickets on select airlines when booked through Chase Travel.
Tip: New offers are available on a rotating basis, so be sure to check back often.

Points Boost flights and hotels are labeled to show the number of points needed to book today, alongside the number of points required if your selection was not part of Points Boost—making your savings crystal clear.
Add your selection to your cart and choose how many points you’d like to redeem—all, some or none; it’s up to you. Check out and the confirmation page will show you just how many points you saved. Congratulations, you just boosted your points.
How to Maximize the Value of Your Points
While Points Boost offers are also available across the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, J.P. Morgan Reserve, Ink Preferred and Ink Plus cards, let’s look at what it means specifically for Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardmembers.
Sapphire Reserve
Think of it this way: You search chasetravel.com for a hotel in your favorite destination and see a Points Boost rocket by a resort that’s part of The Edit. At a 1:1 rate, you’d need to redeem 200,000 points for a two-night stay, but with Points Boost you’d now need to redeem just 100,000 points—your points are worth twice as much on your desired dates.
The same principle applies to flights and other top hotels—your points are worth up to twice as much for a Points Boost flight or stay.
Sapphire Preferred
Imagine you are searching for a flight to Paris on chasetravel.com and note the Points Boost rocket ship by a departure day and time that work for you. You see that the points you’d need to redeem for a first-class ticket are 80,000 instead of the usual 140,000 if you earned points before June 23, 2025—your points go 1.75x further, making a splurge-worthy trip more attainable.
