Buy stocks and ETFs using limit orders on the Chase Mobile® app

This video illustrates how to buy securities at a specified price or better, right on your phone. Sign in to the Chase Mobile® app for access to investment information including stock and ETF details and your cash available to trade. You can buy more of a stock or ETF that you already own or invest in a new one

  1. Step oneSign in to the Chase Mobile® app, tap “Investments” and then tap “Trade”
  2. Step two Choose “Stocks & ETFs”
  3. Step three Pick the account you want to use
  4. Step four The stocks or ETFs you own are listed, and you can buy more or search for a new one
  5. Step five Tap “Buy”
  6. Step six Tap “Limit order” to invest in securities at a specified price or better; note that limit orders are not guaranteed to execute
  7. Step seven You can tap the symbol for more details about the security
  8. Step eight You can tap your account for balance information, including cash available to trade
  9. Step nine Put in the highest price per share you’re willing to pay and tap “Next”
  10. Step ten Put in the number of shares to buy and tap “Next”
  11. Step eleven Set your time in force: If you choose Day, your order has until market close to execute; if you choose Good ’til canceled, your order has 365 days to go through
  12. Step twelve Review and confirm your order and tap “Place order”
  13. Step thirteenYour order status displays in real-time
  14. Step fourteenOnce your order completes, you can check your order status, start a new trade or tap “Close”
