open

The mortgage application package has important information about your mortgage application, including information about your loan terms (for example, loan amount and interest rate), projected payments and estimated closing costs, and some important legal notices.

What does it mean for me to give “intent to proceed”?

open

Giving us your intent to proceed means you'd like to continue with your application with us. Once you have reviewed your loan estimate—which tells you the fees and charges associated with your loan—you can give us your "intent to proceed” by completing the task in Chase MyHome. Then, your Chase home lending team will ask you to provide “good faith funds,” which we’ll credit to your closing costs at closing.

What are “Good Faith Funds”?

open

Once you provide your intent to proceed with your loan application, your Chase home lending team will collect Good Faith Funds from you. These will be applied toward your closing costs, including the appraisal and/or any loan processing fees. Your Good Faith Funds allow us to order a home appraisal, lock in your interest rate and process your loan. We’ll charge your Good Faith Funds to your credit card as we can’t accept checks, cash, or money orders as payment methods. (Your good faith funds might not be refundable; check your application disclosure or ask your Home Lending Advisor or Chase home lending team for details).

How will I know what you need from me?

open

With Chase MyHome, you can keep in constant contact with us. You can track the progress of your loan and receive status updates in the Activity page.  When a new task is assigned to you, you will receive an email notification. When you sign in to Chase MyHome, the new tasks will appear on the Tasks page.

What happens to my documents after I upload them?

open

When you upload your documents to Chase MyHome, we automatically and securely send them to your Chase home lending team to review and get back to you with questions. You can see any documents you’ve uploaded on your Documents page.

I sent or uploaded a document; why is it showing in my “Past due” or “Coming up” task list?

open

If you have already marked a task complete but its status is still “Coming up” or “Past due,” check the Activity page for comments from your Chase home lending team. We might need more information from you, or there could be an issue with the document you uploaded (for example, it isn’t legible).

Once my loan is closed and funded, how long can I see my documents?

open

You can download and save your mortgage documents for 30 days after your loan closing. Afterwards, you will be unable to access Chase MyHome.

How can I find the status of my loan application?

open

Check the Activity page in Chase MyHome for any changes or updates to your loan.

How can I communicate with my Chase home lending team?

open

The easiest way to communicate with your Chase home lending team is to send them an online message from Chase MyHome. Don’t worry if your Chase home lending team is not available at that time, an email notification will be delivered to them so they know to respond as soon as they return.
