Earn More Than Ever: New Benefits Coming to Your Chase Sapphire Preferred Card
Sapphire Preferred now comes with more ways to earn on travel, dining and everyday purchases, all for the same $95 annual fee. Cardmembers will continue to enjoy the earning power they already count on, including 5x points on Chase Travel, 3x points on dining worldwide, 2x on all other travel and more. Cardmembers who have applied for the card prior to June 15, 2026 can expect an email explaining the details of the changes. Here’s an overview of what's coming.
New additions to your Sapphire Preferred card starting June 15, 2026
New ways to earn points:
- 3x points on gas and EV charging
- 3x points on vacation homes at top brands like Airbnb, Vrbo and more
New benefits to enjoy:
- $100 Chase Travel hotel credit: Earn up to $100 in statement credits each account anniversary year for hotel stays purchased through Chase Travel.
- Complimentary Apple TV: Get a complimentary Apple TV subscription for 1 year when you activate by December 31, 2026, a $156 value.
- Global Entry, TSA PreCheck® or Nexus application fee credit: Get up to $120 back every four years when you apply for TSA PreCheck, Global Entry or NEXUS with your card.
- Emergency Evacuation and Transportation: Access the most comprehensive suite of built-in travel protections in its class, with the addition of Emergency Evacuation and Transportation.
Changes to your Sapphire Preferred card starting October 1, 2026
If you opened an account prior to June 15, 2026:
- Ultimate Rewards points will now transfer to World of Hyatt at a rate of 4:3.
- The 10% Anniversary Bonus is discontinued. You will continue to earn 10% of total purchases through October 1, 2026, and bonus points will be awarded by January 31, 2027.
