Here’s how to complete your home equity line of credit application:
Submit your application
You can apply for a home equity line of credit online, by calling 1-888-342-4273 or by visiting a Chase branch. Generally it takes approximately 45 days to close on your home equity line of credit after you submit your application and required supporting documents. Once you submit your application, you give us permission to pull and review your credit report.
Send us your documents
We’ll contact you within two business days after receiving your application and ask you to collect and send us financial information for everyone who will have access to the line of credit you’re requesting.
Please send us everything we need at the same time so we can process your application as soon as possible. Include all pages of these documents, even if they are blank, and make sure they are readable and don’t show any alterations, such as corrective ink.
Close on your new line of credit
It usually takes about 45 days to close on a new home equity line of credit. We’ll work with you to schedule your closing and complete your closing documents. Once your documents are signed, you’ll have three business days to cancel the account. This three-day period is called your "right of rescission." After these three business days, you'll be able to access your line of credit.
If you need to access cash immediately, you can schedule a disbursement with your loan processor at your closing to have cash from your line of credit deposited into your checking account once your right-of-rescission period is over.
