Device management support

 

Learn more about our Merchant Services device management tool available on Chase Business Online (CBO).

Defining device management

 

You can manage your devices online. This feature will allow you to view your devices, retrieve device passwords, and customize your receipts.

Customize your device

  1. Display all devices associated with your merchant account.
  2. Retrieve dynamic passwords for applicable devices.
  3. Update selected configuration.

Note: All images are for illustration purposes and are not real accounts

When you log on to CBO, select the More dropdown from your Merchant Services account tile and select Manage devices.

The device management page will allow you to view all terminals associated with your account.

  • If you have multiple locations, you can select which location you would like to view and the associated terminals will display.
  • You can choose to get your password when setting up your device.
  • When selecting View details, the Terminals & Receipt Details screen will open.
    • See Terminals and receipt details section below for more details.

View all terminals for your merchant account.

 

Show password

Select Show password to view your device’s password.

 

Header and footer

Header and footer fields can be customized to display store hours, website addresses, and/or personalized messages to customers.

There are additional settings that can be updated such as add/remove tips, tip guides, printed receipt, and cashback options.

A validation screen will appear. Review your terminal and receipt details for accuracy before saving. A confirmation screen will appear after updates have been saved. Select Close.

When you need to manually push updates to your device, follow the steps below based on device type:  

 

Desk and Move devices:

Settle your batch of transactions before you begin.

  • Select the gray admin button.
  • Select the Admin mode icon on the screen.
  • Enter the default admin password or your current admin password if changed from the default. 
    • Note: Password is case-sensitive. You can also use the keyboard icon on the screen to enter the alpha characters.
  • Select the Tetra admin icon.
  • Select 1 — Download Application.
  • Select 2 — Start Download.
  • Your terminal will start to initiate download and may reboot multiple times during the update.

 

DX series (DX8000 and DX4000) devices:

  • Click on the Access menu located in the upper left corner of the screen.
  • Scroll down to the menu and select Check for updates.
  • Confirm to proceed with the update.

 

iCT devices:

INGEstate - means terminal file is hosted in our Estate Manager platform

  • Press [#] key to access Terminal menu.
  • You may be prompted for the admin name and password. Please enter information.
  • Press [4] on terminal to select Maintenance.
  • Press [1] for Download.
  • Press [2] for INGEstate.
  • Press [2] for Start download.
  • Terminal will reboot after the download and go back to the Chase logo screen.
