Chase is serious about safeguarding your personal information online and on mobile devices. As a security measure, you may access your account information from the Chase website, Chase Mobile® app or Chase Mobile website only if you have registered with Chase Online.
Chase Online, the Chase Mobile app and the Chase Mobile website use secure technology to encrypt your personal information such as User IDs, Passwords and account information over the Internet. Any information we send you is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches your browser or app. Enroll in Chase Online today. If you have not enrolled and wish to review your account information, you may write to the address on your account statement, call 1-800-CHASE24 (1-800-242-7324) or visit one of our branches.
The Internet is and will continue to be the source of many new opportunities if you use it wisely. Although the information below is not exhaustive, it contains some key points that will help you use the Internet in a more secure manner. Use these points with caution and good judgment.
- Managing employee conduct: The Chase Corporate Code of Conduct expresses our absolute commitment to integrity, our related corporate values and ethical standards and the associated business conduct we expect from all our employees. The Code of Conduct includes very specific guidelines about how to safeguard confidential information, including customer data. In general, these guidelines limit employee access to confidential information, and limit how we use and disclose such information for specifically authorized processes and transactions. If you or we determine that employees have violated the Code of Conduct, we’ll take corrective action, including (when necessary) immediate dismissal.
- Consumer Recourse: Please contact us if you believe we have not complied with our stated Privacy Notice concerning how we use the personally identifiable information we collect over the Internet, or if you believe we’ve provided you with inaccurate information.
When you submit information through an online form, we’ll encrypt it to help keep your information secure. In other words, we scramble your details en route and decode it when we receive it. Please make sure your web session is secure by looking for a small lock symbol in the lower corner of your web browser window. Current versions of leading web browsers use this symbol to indicate when a web page is encrypted. You may also look for the letters "https://" at the beginning of your website URL in your web browser. The "s" means that the web connection is secure.
Chase.com also encrypts any email you send to us or we send to you through the Secure Message Center. However, if you send us email through other sources, it may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures are in place before you send your information. Therefore, we ask that you do not send us confidential information, such as Social Security Numbers or account numbers, through an unsecured email. Please send such communications to us through postal mail, contact us or visit one of our branches.
We created our websites for customers and potential customers, most of whom are adults. However, children may access our websites to request information and apply for certain products and services, like student loans. When children access our websites, we are confident that they and their parents will find none of our content to be objectionable. We encourage parents to install any of the various available software packages to prevent their children from accessing inappropriate websites.
