The Home Loan Toolkit and CHARM booklets are helpful resources as you make your way through the home loan application process. The links to these required disclosures are located on the Activity page. What does it mean for me to give “intent to proceed”?

expand

Giving us your intent to proceed means you'd like to continue with your application with us. Once you've reviewed your loan estimate—which tells you the good faith estimate of the fees and charges associated with your loan—you can give us your "intent to proceed” by completing the task in Chase MyHome. If you're a Home Buyers Advantage customer, you won't receive a loan estimate until after you provide us your property address. Then, your Chase home lending team will ask you to provide “good faith funds,” which we’ll credit to your closing costs at closing.

What are “good faith funds”?

expand

Once you provide your intent to proceed with your loan application, your Chase home lending team will collect good faith funds from you. These will be applied toward your closing costs, including the appraisal and/or any loan processing fees. Your good faith funds allow us to order a home appraisal, lock in your interest rate and process your loan. We’ll charge your good faith funds to your credit card as we can’t accept checks, cash, or money orders as payment methods. (Your good faith funds might not be refundable; check your application disclosure or ask your Home Lending Advisor or Chase home lending team for details).

What happens to my documents after I upload them?

expand

When you upload your documents to Chase MyHome, we automatically and securely send them to your Chase home lending team to review and get back to you with questions. You can see any documents you’ve uploaded on your Documents page.

I sent or uploaded a document; why is it showing in my “Overdue” or “Upcoming” task list?

expand

If you have already marked a task complete but its status is still “Overdue” or “Upcoming,” check the Activity page for comments from your Chase home lending team. We might need more information from you, or there could be an issue with the document you uploaded (for example, it isn’t legible).

Once my loan is closed and funded, how long can I see my documents?

expand

You can download and save your mortgage documents for 30 days after your loan closing. Afterwards, you'll be unable to access Chase MyHome.
