Chase Sapphire was a presenting sponsor of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, an independent film exhibition in the United States. Launched in 1981, the festival showcases new movies, music events, panel discussions and more each January in Park City, Utah. Learn more about Chase Sapphire.
Every year, Hollywood's biggest names and most exciting rising stars flock to Park City, Utah, to celebrate independent film, emerging media, and original storytelling at the Sundance Film Festival. And while the abundance of movies was the main attraction for the 41st annual festival, Chase Sapphire cardmembers got the A-lister's treatment at Chase Sapphire on Main.
Nestled on Park City's popular Main Street, Sapphire's home base stood out this year with an interactive mural created by Timothy Goodman. The artist and graphic designer also joined cardmembers for a meet-and-greet, where he personalized notebooks with his trademark Sharpie art.
Inside, thousands of festival attendees took advantage of an array of activities and services available, including refillable water bottles, water stations, and charging pods.
During the day, Sapphire and Los Angeles Times co-hosted panel discussions with the casts, directors, producers, and writers from the films Hala, Paradise Hills, The Sunlit Night, Little Monsters, and Brittany Runs a Marathon. Movie buffs could also snag tickets for the most buzz-worthy screenings at Chase's box office. And at night, cardmembers got the chance to boogie at a silent disco and rub elbows with the stars at private cast parties.
Foodies got their fix at Chase Sapphire on Main, where food samples representing four Sapphire Six cities—New York, San Diego, Austin and Denver—were passed around and Brad Leone, a video host from Bon Appétit, served up a beef short rib with a pistachio-herb sauce and pickled onions during a cooking demo.
The deliciousness didn't stop there. The cardmember lounge featured a premium coffee bar as well as wine, beer, and whiskey tastings. Cardmembers who wanted to explore Park City's mouth-watering dining could use Bon Appétit's complimentary dining concierge service to score a last-minute reservation.
If the non-stop schedule feels overwhelming, don't worry: Cardmembers can snag a moment of zen with two morning yoga classes.
The Sundance Film Festival is a can't-miss event for most movie buffs, but Chase Sapphire on Main creates memories that will last long after the credits roll.
