Behind the Scenes at Tortuga Music Festival

Music is more than something that you merely listen to. It's an immersive experience and for many music-lovers, it's a lifestyle that is shared with other like-minded folks. And nowhere is that more obvious than the booming music festival industry. Even in an ever-changing digital music world, fans are happy to pay for the experience of sharing live music with their friends and thousands of strangers. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the 2016 Tortuga Music Festival, created with Paragon.
Started in 2013, the Tortuga Music Festival brings country music to the shores of Fort Lauderdale, FL each April. The festival attracts nearly 75,000 fans annually for its three-day concert series with headliners such as Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw.
In addition to the immersive music experience, Tortuga Music Festival has a large focus on ocean conservation and hopes to inform festival-goers about the current conditions and plans to improve the state of our oceans. There is a large conservation village at the festival with educational and interactive experiences aimed to show visitors how they can support the cause.
Brent Silberstein, chief production officer at Huka Entertainment (the company that produces the festival), says it is their goal to leave the location in a better state then they found it and preserve the natural beauty of the festival's seaside location.
