Kim Abello is a senior vice president of the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Advisory Group. She has a multi-disciplinary background including experience in valuation, accounting, finance and taxation. Kim assists bankers and their privately held clients in addressing the valuation and financial issues involved with ESOPs.
Prior to joining Chase in 2009, Kim held senior positions with Duff & Phelps and Arthur Young. Kim has authored numerous publications, including Chapter 32 of Valuing a Business about ESOPs and is a frequent speaker on valuation and other ESOP related topics.
Kim received a Bachelor in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University. She is licensed by FINRA with a Series 79 and Series 63, is a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and an Accredited Senior Appraiser from the American Society of Appraisers.
Kim is a recognized expert in the ESOP community. She is a member of the ESOP Association headquartered in Washington D.C. serving on their Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee and sitting Vice President of Membership to their Illinois Chapter. She is also an active member of the National Center for Employee Ownership, Employee Owned S-Corporations of America, Ohio Employee Ownership Center, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
