Julie Williams is a senior vice president of the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Advisory Group. Julie advises bankers on the various aspects of ESOP transactions including structuring, underwriting and execution. She also helps bankers and their privately held clients and prospects evaluate the benefits of selling stock to an ESOP.
Prior to joining Chase in 2011, Julie was a financial advisor at Duff & Phelps and Cognient Group, where she advised on ESOP transactions for both public and private companies, gaining a recognized expertise of all aspects of complex ESOP issues. Prior to those roles, Julie spent five years as an institutional trustee at GreatBanc Trust Company, serving as member of their fiduciary committee. As an ESOP trustee, Julie led negotiations for ESOP transactions involving the purchase or sale of stock or assets.
Julie received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. She is licensed by FINRA with a Series 79 and Series 63.
Julie is a member of the ESOP Association headquartered in Washington, D.C. and serves on their Valuation Advisory Committee. She is also an active member of the National Center for Employee Ownership, Association for Corporate Growth and Economics Club of West Michigan.
